Topic 1: The Big Question

How do choices end up determining What, How, and For Whom goods and services get produced?

If we think about PAS as an economy, I consider the "What" is the education our teachers provide. Since PAS is a school, there is no doubt that PAS provides education for students. "How" is the method PAS provides education, and I think PAS provides its goods through teachers. Because teachers teach us knowledge and anything else. For example, Mr. McCool teaches us AP Mirco, and the knowledge is the goods PAS provides and Mr. McCool is the method PAS used to provide the knowledge. "For Whom" is obviously for us students, since we students receive all the goods PAS provides. It's obvious that PAS provides its goods for students because students need the knowledge given by schools.

When do the choices made in the pursuit of Self-Interest also promote the Social Interest?

Students in PAS receive the education and knowledge PAS provides, they learn the knowledge for their self-interest because they need the knowledge to be independent when they go to work. And all student's self-interest favors social interest because once they finished their education and find a job, they would help contribute to the society. Depending on the job they are working at, their contributions may vary, but they still have contributes to the social.
